Which Medical Exam Do I Need?

DOT, CDL, and FMCSA medical exam terminology is closely related, but the requirements that apply to you can depend on your commercial driving activities.

DOT is commonly used when referring broadly to transportation medical requirements. CDL refers to a Commercial Driver's License, while FMCSA is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, which establishes federal physical qualification standards for certain commercial motor vehicle drivers.
